Mildred Jones Ward, age 68, of Forsyth County passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband William Raymond Ward in 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwen and Mike McFarling of Gainesville and Marleen and Tommy Ingle of Forsyth; four sisters, Shirley and Quincy Holton, Louise and John L. Vaughn, Gloria and Hollis Perego and Ethel and Julian Caine, all of Cumming; three brothers, W. L. and Jane Jones and Bobby Jones, both of Cumming and Herman Jones of Florida. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survived.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, March 19th at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Ray Martin, Eddie Caine and Jack Biddy officiating. Mrs. Ward will lie in state at the church from 1:00 pm until service time. The Interment will be in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 18th at Byars Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
